This Privacy Policy explains how Original African Braiding collects, uses, and shares information when you browse our site, request a consultation, or place a booking deposit.

Contact details: name, mobile number, email address, and any notes you share for your appointment.

Booking details: selected service/style, date/time, duration, and booking identifiers.

Payment status: we do not store full card details. Deposits are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We may store non-sensitive payment metadata like a session ID and confirmation timestamps.

Usage data: basic analytics events and device/browser information to improve the booking experience.

- To create and confirm bookings and consultations, including calendar coordination.
- To send transactional messages about your booking via email and/or SMS (when selected).
- To provide customer support and prevent abuse (including rate limiting).
- To understand what’s working in the booking flow and improve the experience.

If you select “Text me,” you agree to receive transactional SMS related to your booking. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Email confirmations are sent to the address you provide.

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the booking experience:

- Stripe to process deposits and return payment confirmation.
- Email provider to send booking confirmations.
- SMS provider (when enabled) to send booking-related texts.
- Google Calendar / Sheets to coordinate availability and store booking records.
- Error monitoring to diagnose issues and improve reliability.

We retain booking records for operational purposes (appointments, customer support, and dispute handling) and to maintain a reliable booking history.
